JJ Redick isn't concerned about LeBron James, Anthony Davis after Olympics
LeBron James and Anthony Davis did their patriotic duty this summer by helping to lead Team USA men's basketball to a gold medal at the Olympic Games in Paris.
Both played excellent basketball, and they reminded everyone that they're both still at the top of their respective games.
However, there were those who felt perhaps they should've sat out the Summer Games in order to make sure they rested and recuperated enough for the upcoming NBA season.
particular, James is 39 years of age and has become injury-prone in recent years after rarely missing games in his first 15 seasons.
The workload of both superstars will certainly have to be managed during the first part of the regular season, as well as during training camp and the preseason.
But new Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick said on the "Lakeshow Podcast" that he isn't concerned (at 11:23).
I mean, look, those guys are professionals in every sense of the word. My concern for them about whether or not they’ll be ready to play on Oct. 22 and be in shape, I don’t have that concern.
We’re gonna work with (athletic trainer) Mike [Mancias] and Ish (associate athletic trainer Jon Ishop), making sure that they feel that they’re in a great place to start the regular season.
